Opportunity to earn conservation hours for Clean Up, LNT, Keep America Beautiful Hometown USA, Outdoor Ethics Awareness & Action Award and World Conservation.
You may bring your own water vessels if you wish such as boats, canoes, kayaks, etc. but scouting requirements for use of vessels such as swimming requirements apply. To participate as a canoeist or kayaker you must have completed and earned the Canoeing Merit Badge otherwise you must ride the pontoon to the island. You also must have a current 2019 Approved Swimmers Certification.
Scouts who are Non Swimmers and or are newly registered as a Scout and do NOT have a Current 2019 BSA Swimmers Certification can still participate; however, you must ride one of the shuttling pontoon boats.

Soil & Water Conservation

To participate, scouts and scouters must be registered Scouts BSA, who have completed and awarded their Canoeing, Kayaking & Swimming merit badges.
