Scout Me In @ Home 2.1

Virtual Merit Badges

We are happy to announce merit badges (for Scouts ages 11-17) that are being offered online by volunteers and staff of the Great Smoky Mountain Council. You can take these merit badges right from home with registered and trained merit badge counselors! Each class has a minimal cost to cover the online platforms used to register and offer the merit badge.

Badges will be offered at different times throughout the week. They are listed below. Please set this page as a favorite and check back for updates.

We will have a minimum of two adults online for each merit badge, as well as a moderator for the chat room. Each session will have a password to help prevent any Zoombombing.

Once the class is over, we will post the requirements that were completed, and you will be able to come back and print a merit badge blue card.
The instructor will send an email out prior to the class with instructions on how to log into zoom.

Your Done with Your Merit Badge – Now What?

After your Zoom session(s) are done, you have two weeks from the original session date to submit your assignments. Once the two weeks have passed, it could take your counselor another week to verify everything for all of the Scouts in your session.  Once they are done and we have updated Tentaroo, your blue card is ready to be printed.  Use the tutorials below to learn how to print your blue card.
