In addition to overnight Family Camps, Cub Scouts in the Great Smoky Mountain Council can attend Day Camps to experience traditional Scouting activities like archery, crafts, nature study, BB gun shooting, fishing, and games.
Organized around exciting themes, Day Camps are a great opportunity for Cub Scouts to gain new skills and earn belt loops, pins, and other awards toward their next rank. Day Camp is also an excellent opportunity for both Scouts and parents to make new friends.
Day Camps are organized by districts and may be one full day, or three or more partial days or evenings. Camps are typically held in June. Registration fees range from approximately $35 to $85 and some may include a T-shirt and patch for the Scout.
